Bunn Coffee Maker Basics

Discount Bunn Coffee Maker image

For years, restaurants and other businesses have relied on Bunn coffee makers for consistently making great tasting coffee, day in and day out, and now you can experience the same Bunn coffee brewer at home.

Bunn coffee makers have always been at the forefront of the industry. In 1957 Bunn invented the first paper filter for commercial coffee makers. Shortly after that Bunn introduced the first pour over Bunn coffee machine followed by the first ever drip Bunn coffee brewer for the home.

Bunn coffee makers are based years of experience making commercial coffee brewers.

A Bunn coffee machine is the only coffee maker that utilizes a water reservoir to keep water hot and always ready to brew a pot of fresh, hot coffee.

The hot water, reservoir-style Bunn home coffee maker delivers quality coffee brewed to the exacting standards of fine restaurants worldwide in just three minutes.

These are just some of the reasons why Bunn coffee makers are better.
  • Stainless steel tank
  • Advanced sprayhead design
  • Brewing system thermostat
  • Vacation switch
  • Hot water always available
  • 800 watt tank heater, 900 watts total.
  • 10 cup decanter or Thermal Carafe (with Thermal Carafe brewer), coffee funnel, deliming spring and filters included.

SPRAYHEAD DESIGN - Coffee flavor is robust, never bitter, because the Bunn coffee brewer's unique sprayhead showers hot water over the ground coffee, floating the grounds in the Bunn filter for full, even extraction.

STAINLESS STEEL - Coffee is HOT, not lukewarm because the stainless steel brewing tank of the bunn coffee maker holds water at the perfect coffee brewing temperature.

SUPERIOR EXTRACTION - Other home brewers boil water up through a tube, which then allows the water to drip through the center of the coffee bed. This will over-extract the coffee in the center and under-extract the coffee on the outside.

Bunn is committed to high-quality construction, superior service and technical support, along with its long-standing reputation for innovation in the beverage equipment industry.

If you are looking to buy Discount Bunn Coffee Maker for commercial or residential use, the Bunn coffee maker is a choice you'll be happy with.

For those of you still dealing with record-high temperatures, I created two new recipe collections. One is a collection of iced coffee recipes and other cold coffee recipes. The other is a collection of iced tea recipes and other cold tea recipes.

These go way beyond regular iced coffee and iced tea. They include things like coffee ice cream recipes, tea "agua fresca" recipes, and cold coffee- and tea-based cocktails. Ready to chill? Check them out.

    Chamomile & Lavender: Trendy Classics

Chamomile and lavender are both classic herbal infusions. In fact, both made it on the new list of Top Ten Teas for Afternoon Tea. However, it looks like these age-old comfort herbs are seeing a resurgence in trendy food scenes across the country.

CHOW called chamomile and lavender two of the biggest food trends of 2010 (so far). Apparently, the herbs have been popping up in restaurants across the country in foods like panna cotta, gelee and doughnuts.

According to The Denver Post, Colorado is crazy for lavender for all kinds of uses. One local lavender farm serves visitors lavender ice cream, lavender lemonade and lavender iced tea.

If you'd like to get more experimental with these trendy-classic herbs, check out these recipes:

    Egg Coffee

Have you heard of egg coffee? (Hint: It's not like egg cream.)

I recently met Kari Diehl (About's Guide to Scandinavian Food), who told me all about egg coffee. You may remember from Black Coffee or elsewhere that early European coffee drinkers often added eggshells to their coffee during brewing (which was really more of a boiling than an infusion process at the time). However, Kari told me that the tradition of using eggshells while brewing coffee is still a known, semi-practiced tradition in Scandinavian cooking and in some contemporary Midwestern Lutheran churches. Apparently, eggshells reduce the bitterness in coffee. Fascinating! Plus, it far cheaper and less unnerving than civet coffee.

You can learn to make Scadinavian Egg Coffee on Kari's site. Have you tried egg coffee before? What did you think of it?

    Lady GaGa -- The Tea?

It looks like Twinings Tea might get a brand makeover with the help of eccentric (and hugely influential) pop star Lady Gaga. According to The Sun, Lady Gaga is in negotiations with Twinings to create a Lady Gaga tea blend, which may or may not be named "The Taste of Gaga" and will likely have an "oriental" flavor. Twinings' intent in signing Lady Gaga on for a new blend appears to be an appeal toward younger, trendier consumers. After years of talk within the tea industry about how to get young people to drink tea, it appears Twinings may have found an in... or a way to drop a few million pounds.

What do you think? Will Lady Gaga encourage a new generation to try Twingings tea? Or will it be another example of a celebrity endorsement with lukewarm results?

    Coffee Meets Breakfast

Breakfast time is one of the most popular times to drink coffee. There's a huge potential for enjoying the complementary flavors of specific coffees with specific breakfast foods, yet very few people consciously pair coffee and breakfast. As a long-time advocate of tea-pairings and a newer advocate of coffee pairings, I'm hoping to change that a little. That's why I created this new guide to breakfast coffee pairings. It includes simple breakfasts, like oatmeal or fruit and cheese, as well as more elaborate breakfasts, like quiches and crepes.

Although this guide to coffee pairings includes a range of breakfast foods, it is by no means comprehensive, and there are many, many more ways to combine the flavors of coffee with breakfast foods. I'd love to hear about some of your coffee-and-breakfast-food pairings. If you have a favorite, please share it in the comments below.

    New Keurig & K-Cup Reviews

Keurig brewers are one of those things you have never heard of or you feel very strongly about. For better or worse, they have a following, and they have a lot of utility in offices across the country. I recently had the chance to review a new Keurig coffeemaker, the Keurig B155, as well as several lines of K-cups:

Are you a Keurig fan? What are your favorite types of K-cups?
